St John's offers a whole range of services, activities and events and we always welcome visitors to these.
Our main service on a Sunday is a Parish Communion at 9.30am. Our Junior Church meets at the same time and joins the adult congregation at the beginning, for the Peace, for a blessing during the giving of Communion and at the end, when they tell us all about what they've been doing, often showing fantastic craft items or giving a short presentation. They also sometimes give the readings or lead intercessions. On the first Sunday of the month the service is specially planned for us all to worship together, whatever our age, in a less formal setting, see All Together @ St John's
Every Tuesday we hold a quiet reflective Communion Service at 7.30pm, in the Lady Chapel, using a form of liturgy from Iona. You are very welcome to join us for what is always a peaceful and restorative time together.
Services are also held on feast days and to remember important events.
Our community hub, set up in 2017, to run and host groups that used to meet at the Kaleidoscope Children's Centre in Kidlington, now has a range of activities "up and running". Details here.
A great number of activities happen at St John's either weekly or monthly,
term-time or all year. Some of these are run by the Community Hub but others are offered by various groups and organisations. Details here.
St John's is also the venue for other social events for ourselves, our families, friends and neighbours - either organised by the church community or by local people hiring the facilities. Forthcoming events are shown here, with more details available by clicking here.
